Prayagraj: Every 12 years, the holy city of Prayagraj becomes the centre of one of the largest spiritual gatherings in the world, Maha Kumbh Mela. This event draws lakhs of devotees from across the globe to take a sacred dip at the Sangam, where the Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati rivers meet.
To ensure smooth travel for devotees, Indian Railways has announced several special trains from various locations to Prayagraj for the Maha Kumbh Mela, which will take place in January and February 2025.
