Dehradun: Special puja and yagya-havan were performed in Uttarakhand’s Kedarnath and Badrinath temples for Prime Minister Narendra Modi as he turned 74 on Tuesday.
The Rawals, the priests of the revered shrines, offered prayers to the deities for the Prime Minister’s health, long life, happiness, and prosperity. The puja program was attended by Badri-Kedar temple committee (BKTC) officials and pilgrims present in the shrines.
Special prayers in sub-ordinate temples under BKTC
Along with Badrinath and Kedarnath shrines, specials were also organized in other subordinate temples under BKTC like Omkareshwar Temple Ukhimath, Narasimha Temple Joshimath, Second Kedar Madmaheshwar, Third Kedar Tungnath, Shri Vishwanath Temple Guptkashi and Siddhapeeth Kalimath.
Rudra-Abhishek pooja was performed in Kedarnath
The videos provided by BKTC showed the head priest of Badrinath Dham Rawal along with other priests performing Mahabhishek of Lord Badri Vishal in the name of PM Modi’s Gotra. Meanwhile, the Rudrabhishek of Lord Shiva was also performed in Kedarnath Dham in PM Modi’s name.
Prayers for PM’s long life and country’s well-being
On this occasion, wishes were made for the long life of the Prime Minister and happiness, prosperity and prosperity of the country. The special puja held by the temple committee was attended by all the officers and employees. Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC) President Ajendra Ajay extended his greetings to the Prime Minister and wished him good health and a long life.
Special pooja on CM Dhami’s birthday
Earlier on Monday, September 16, Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee performed special worship on the birthday of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami.
