Chennai: Ministry of Railways is set to introduce two new Vande Bharat Express trains, connecting key cities in southern India. The new trains will run on the following routes; Chennai Egmore to Nagercoil and Madurai to Bengaluru.
Prime Minister Modi is set to inaugurate the much awaited Vande Bharat train service between Chennai and Nagercoil, on August 31. Similarly, Prime Minister will also inaugurate the Madurai-Bangaluru Vande Bharat train service on the same day, according to reports.

PM Modi to inagurate new Vande Bharat train services
The Prime Minister Modi is going to inaugurate the new Vande Bharat train services which expected to enhance connectivity and provide a faster and more comfortable travel experience for passengers through video conference.
It may be recalled that special Vande Bharat train between Chennai – Nagercoil had run during summer holidays this year. Thus, while passengers were expecting to run daily Vande Bharat train from Chennai to Nagercoil, this dream of passengers will come true from 31st August.
At present around 60 Vande Bharat trains are running across the country. In Tamil Nadu, Vande Bharat trains are being operated in the key routes including Chennai-Bangaluru, Chennai-Coimbatore, Chennai-Tirunelveli, and Coimbatore-Bangaluru.
