New Delhi: Indian women’s team star Smriti Mandhana scripted history as she broke the legendary Mithali Raj’s all-time record after notching up her 8th ODI ton on Tuesday. Mandhana achieved the feat in the 3rd ODI against New Zealand at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The Indian opener played a magnificent knock of 100 runs in India’s run-chase against the Kiwis.
With her splendid ton, Mandhana went past Mithali on the list of Indian batters with the most centuries in women’s ODIs. Mandhana now holds the record for smashing the most centuries for India in women’s ODIs.
