For seven years, Prajapati has been alleging corruption in his gram panchayat. He has been submitting complaints and visiting the collector’s office, with no solution to his grievances. His frustration, stemming from the alleged crores of rupees siphoned off, culminated in this eye-catching protest.
In response to the public outcry, the district collector, Himanshu Chandra, swiftly formed a three-member committee. The committee will be headed by SDM Jawad Rajesh Shah and the investigation into the case will be done in three days, as per the district collector’s order. The committee will visit Gram Panchayat Kakaria Talai and submit a detailed report.
The collector also issued a directive to all officials to take complaints seriously, resolve them promptly, and keep complainants informed of their status in writing. The video of Prajapati’s unique plea went viral, garnering attention from the MPCC chief, Jitu Patwari, who criticized the BJP government for the escalating corruption in the state.
