New Delhi: Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor has officially broken his silence regarding his relationship with Malaika Arora. The Ishaqzaade actor made headlines during a recent Diwali party hosted by politician Raj Thackeray at Mumbai’s Shivaji Park. For the unversed, Arjun attended the celebration with his team from Rohit Shetty’s upcoming release Singham Again.

In a video that surfaced from the event, the crowd excitedly called out Malaika’s name. With a smile, Arjun simply responded, “Nahi abhi single hoon. Relax karo (No, I’m single now. Relax).” His light-hearted banter continued as he addressed a comment made by someone behind him. “Inhone ‘tall aur handsome’ bola, aesa lagraha hai ki shaadi ki baat karrahe hai. Isliye maine bola relax karo pehle” (He said ‘tall and handsome’, and I felt he was talking about marriage. So I said relax first), the actor added.

Earlier this year, sources confirmed that Arjun and Malaika had decided to part ways but would maintain a dignified silence about their relationship. According to Pinkvilla, “Malaika and Arjun had a very special relationship, and both of them will continue to hold a special place in each other’s hearts.” The decision to separate was reportedly mutual as quoted by the media portal.

Arjun and Malaika began dating in 2018 but kept many details of their relationship private. Despite this, the duo often shared romantic moments from their vacations and special occasions on social media. Notably, after the passing of Malaika’s father, Anil Mehta, last month, Arjun was seen providing support to her during this difficult time.
For the unversed, the Chaiyya Chaiyya star was previously married to actor Arbaaz Khan, with whom she shares custody of their son, Arhaan.

On the professional front, Arjun is set to star as the antagonist in Singham Again, which features an impressive ensemble cast including Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Ranveer Singh, and Deepika Padukone. The film will be released this Diwali and is the third instalment in the highly successful Singham franchise. The film will clash with Kartik Aaryan’s horror-comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 which also stars Vidya Balan, Madhuri Dixit and Triptii Dimri.
