New Delhi: Uttar Pradesh Minister Ashish Patel has launched a scathing attack on the state’s Special Task Force (STF), daring them to take action against him. Patel, who has been consistently questioning the STF, said, “You shoot at my feet, if you have the guts, then shoot at my chest. I am not going to be afraid of anyone.”
He said that his only “mistake” was supporting the underprivileged class and he would continue to do so without fear. Patel added that having democracy on his side made him fearless of the system. The minister also criticised the STF for allowing two people to stage a protest in the state assembly, where even a bird cannot fly. He challenged the STF, saying, “Your name is Special Task Force. My name is Ashish Patel. I want to tell the STF that you shoot in the leg, come and shoot in the chest.”
Patel accuses STF of intimidation
Patel also said that the STF is trying to intimidate him in the 69,000 teacher recruitment case, but he will not back down. “You cannot suppress the 69,000 teacher recruitment case through intimidation. The central government has completely targeted my national president. While she has the security of the central government, I am dependent on you.” He also accused Pallavi Patel of being a “dharna master” sponsored by the government.
Vow to fight media bias
He warned a certain Shishir Babu to stop publishing news, saying that he’s being targeted by the media. He also questioned the STF’s actions, asking who allowed two people to protest in a restricted area. “For the past few days, I have been receiving increased media coverage. However, my positive aspects are being hidden, and my negative sides are being highlighted. Now, I will fight with greater determination. I am not afraid of conspiracies. Let the CBI investigate me, ” he said.
