On attempting to pay back Rs 2,500, he requested the commission agent to settle the remaining Rs 3,100 promptly. Shockingly, the agent and his accomplices viciously beat the vendor within the shop, forcibly removing his clothes, and later parading him naked in a crowded market. A video capturing this appalling act circulated on social media, prompting public outcry.
Additional DCP Rajeev Dixit confirmed the arrest of the main culprits, Sunder Singh and Bhagandas Singh, with a promise to apprehend the remaining culprits and ensure legal action is taken. The incident led to the registration of an FIR against the accused under several sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Information Technology Act.
