New Delhi: Following the death of NCP leader Baba Siddique, the film industry was taken aback after Lawrence Bishnoi claimed the onus of his murder. The late politician who was a close friend of Bollywood superstar Salman Khan was shot outside his son Zeeshan Siddique’s office in Mumbai’s Bandra area. Days after his brutal murder, Zeeshan finally spoke about his father’s demise and how it has affected the Tiger 3 actor.
Speaking to BBC Hindi, he stated that Salman calls him every night to check up on him and added that the actor and Baba Siddique were ‘close like brothers’.

In a heartfelt revelation, Zeeshan opened up about how Salman cannot sleep at night and talked to him on call every night about his ‘sleeplessness’. He also said that following his father’s death, the Hum Saath Saath Hain actor has always been supportive and checked up on him.
“Main humesha se pitaji ke jo dost rahe hain unko celebrities to nahi maanta hoon. Kyuki agar aapke ghar pe koi agar humesha aata hai, aapke pitaji ke parivarik dost hote hain to woh ghar ke sadasya hi jaise hote hain (I have never considered my father’s friends to be celebrities. If someone frequently visits your home and is a close family friend of your father, they feel like family members),” he told the media portal.
On Sunday (October 27), MLA Zeeshan Siddique took to his official X (formerly Twitter) handle to drop a tweet and wrote, “They silenced my father. But they forget – he was a lion and I carry his roar within me, his fight in my veins. He stood for justice, fought for change and withstood the storms with unwavering courage.”

Former Maharashtra minister and NCP leader Baba Siddique was shot dead by three gunmen outside his son Zeeshan Siddique’s office in Bandra, Mumbai on October 12 night. He was taken to Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital however, he succumbed to his injuries. The politician was 66. Reportedly, gangster Lawrence Bishnoi has claimed responsibility for his murder.
