New Delhi: The Shillong Teer is a legal lottery played in Meghalaya. The northeastern state is one of the states where lotteries are legal. The other states are Kerala, Nagaland and West Bengal. Rules of Shillong Teer
There are certain rules which govern the Shillong Teer. People who buy tickets get 50 arrows at the beginning of the game. These arrows need to be shot at a predesignated target. The winners are declared at the end of the game and are decided on the basis of the number of arrows that are shot at the target. The winners are those whose maximum arrows hit target.
There are at least 5,000 ticket counters which sell the Shillong Lottery tickets. Those who want to take part in the game can buy them from designated counters.
