New Delhi: Meghalaya organises a unique lottery game Shillong Teer every day. The lottery game, which is based on archery, is played at Shillong Polo Stadium. Khasi Hills Archery Sports Association (KHASA) is the organiser of the game.
Governed by rules framed under the Meghalaya Amusement and Betting Tax Act, the Shillong Teer is legal lottery game. The winner of lottery game is declared on the basis of number of arrows or ‘teers’ shot at the target.
Meghalaya has 5,000 designated ticket counters where tickets of the lottery game is sold. As the game begins, each participant gets 50 arrows out of which 30 has to be hit at the target in the first round and 20 in the second round. The player who hit the maximum number of arrows at the target is announced winner. Lottery game is legal only in 13 Indian states. Meghalaya is one of them. The other states include Manipur, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh and Goa.

The Shillong Teer results are available on the official website: meghalayateer.com. The participants need to select the “Shillong Teer Result for September 27, 2024” option. Then a PDF will open. To check the result, the winning numbers for September 27 has to be selected.
