“We will rededicate ourselves to the cause of the nation and organizing the society. We resolve to work more meticulously, qualitatively, and comprehensively in the centenary year,” he added further. Sharing details on the activities to be done on its 100th year anniversary, he added that the Nagar level programmes of Swayamsevakas will be held Ganavesh (Sangh Uniform) will be held. Apart from this, a large-scale home-to-home contact campaign for three weeks has been planned with the theme ‘Har gaon, Har basti-ghar-ghar.’
“Hindu Sammelans at all Mandal or basti (locality) will be organised with the message of unity and harmony without discrimination,” Hosabale added furher at the press briefing on Bengaluru.
He added, “Important citizens dialogues will be organised at the district level. These programmes will focus on setting the right narratives on national issues and set aside the wrong narratives prevalent in society today.”
On being asked about the controversy regarding 17th century Mughal emperor Aurangzeb, he noted, “Those who are icons for the betterment of the society and nation must be our idols and not those who are known for intolerance and do not represent the ethos of this nation. Aurangzeb is not religious but in the interest of the country and its cohesion. Though we gained political freedom in 1947, mental colonisation is a reality even to this day and decolonization of the mind is much required”.
