New Delhi: The upcoming Amazon Prime Video series, Citadel: Honey Bunny, starring Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Varun Dhawan, is set to release on November 7, 2024. There is a lot of hype surrounding the series, especially the fact that the cast performed a lot of their stunts on their own.
In a recent interview, Samantha spoke about her stunts and recalled one of her injuries while shooting Citadel: Honey Bunny. She remembered how she suffered a concussion and no one took her to the hospital. Here is what went down.
Samantha Ruth Prabhu recalls concussion on set
In an interview with Galatta India, Samantha revealed that she suffered a concussion during one of the stunts. She explained that she had a concussion and also forgot the names and completely blanked out. The actress further jokingly added that she was not taken to the hospital. However, the show’s writer, Sita Menon, clarified that there was a doctor on call and Samantha was treated, she simply does not remember the events because of the concussion.
Despite the injury, Samantha explained that she wished to continue the shoot as their location was booked for a limited time. However, she was not allowed to film the scene. In the same interview, the actress opened up about her diagnosis of myositis autoimmune disorder. With this diagnosis, Samantha wondered if she could continue with the physically demanding action series. She revealed that she discussed replacing her role with another actress to avoid complications. Regardless, Samantha Ruth Prabhu went on to play the female lead of an action-packed series and fans cannot wait to watch Samantha in her element.
