New Delhi: Former Bollywood actress and ex-girlfriend of Salman Kha Somy Ali has publicly challenged notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi for a Zoom call. The actress who is now a U.S.-based women’s rights activist, took to her official Instagram handle on Thursday (October 17), addressing the gangster directly, sparking a fury of curiosity among fans of Salman Khan.
In her bold post, Somy shared a photo of Lawrence Bishnoi, who is currently incarcerated in Sabarmati Central Jail. She wrote a lengthy caption, starting with a polite greeting in Hindi, “Namaste, Lawrence bhai,” before expressing her desire to engage in a Zoom call with the gangster. She humorously pointed out how she’d heard that he had been holding video calls from behind bars.

In her post, Somy asked Lawrence Bishnoi to explain how a Zoom call from jail could be arranged. She shared her love for Rajasthan and expressed a wish to visit a temple there but insisted on getting the Zoom call sorted first. “Trust me, this chat is for your own good,” she assured, before requesting Lawrence to share his mobile number.
Apart from the Zoom call request, the actress also made a more serious point regarding violence and justice. She stated that taking someone’s life—whether it’s Salman Khan or an average person—is unacceptable. She urged Lawrence to pursue legal justice if that’s what he seeks, saying, “I have full faith in India’s judicial system and lawyers, the same as in America.”

On Salman Khan’s black buck case
Somy further addressed the Bishnoi community directly, asking them to reconsider any harm directed towards Salman in retaliation for the 1998 blackbuck poaching case. She argued that harming the actor would not bring the blackbuck back, advising them to let bygones be bygones. “I want to appeal to the Bishnoi community that harming Salman Khan will not bring back the blackbuck. Whatever happened to me cannot be changed; let bygones be bygones,” she added.
