New Delhi: Gaurav Taneja aka Flying Beast was criticised for bursting crackers near a cowshed in a viral video. Netizens took to Reddit to express their concerns regarding the safety of the cows. Others called him out for contributing to noise and air pollution. The clip circulating online is part of a longer longer video posted by Taneja.
In the clip labelled “Something special @ Diwali”, Taneja along with his wife Ritu Rathee were seen making halwa for their family and also for the workers at the farm. The farm workers also joined in to help in the halwa preparations. The video featured a heartwarming Diwali celebration. However, the location they chose to burst crackers was what appalled netizens. In the video, the group was seen bursting crackers near a cowshed. As the animals heard the sound of the crackers, they frantically ran away.

The video “saddened” netizens. They were enquired if any action could be taken against the social media influencer. One wrote, “So sad. Is there any action we can take against them? Poor cows dude.” A second person commented, “Where is PETA now and all the social workers? Why everyone is keeping quiet when we clearly see how scared the animals are and how they are bursting loud crackers barely feet away from animals that they milk for their money? (sic)”
