New Delhi: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has passed a resolution in its annual Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha (ABPS) meeting, urging the international community to take note of the atrocities against Hindus in Bangladesh. The RSS called for solidarity with the Bangladeshi Hindu community and appealed to the United Nations to intervene.
Addressing a press briefing on Saturday Arun Kumar, Sah Sarkaryawah, of the Sangh also said that every RSS worker should be an active worker.
The resolution expressed deep concern over the increasing incidents of violence, forced conversions, and discrimination faced by Hindus in Bangladesh. The RSS emphasised the need for immediate global attention and diplomatic efforts to ensure the protection of minority rights in the neighbouring country.
Historical instances of persecution
Speaking at the event, senior RSS leaders highlighted historical instances of persecution and stressed that safeguarding the cultural and religious identity of Hindus in Bangladesh is a humanitarian concern, not just a political issue.
The resolution also called upon the Indian government to engage diplomatically with Bangladesh to ensure the safety and security of its Hindu citizens. The RSS also encouraged Hindu organisations worldwide to raise awareness and extend support to the affected communities.
