Royal Enfield will be debuting its new Bear 650 Scrambler on November 5, 2024. The motorcycle already leaked a couple of days ago so we know how it is going to look like. The Bear 650 will feature the same 649cc parallel twin engine and this will be the fifth motorcycle in their lineup to use this engine but the first one in the lineup which is a little off-road focused.
It will come with off-road focused suspension which includes upside down forks up front but a dual-shock setup still at the rear. The bike will probably have a 19-inch wheel up front while the rear is expected to be 17-inch. The tyres are quite off-road focused and looks like they are ready to hit the trail.
Other features will include all-LED lights, including the indicators. Then there is the instrument cluster which is more in line with the new Himalayan 450 rather than any of the previous 650cc motorcycles and have a digital screen with in-built maps. We expect it to also have switchable ABS and traction control.
The engine is most likely going to be unchanged over its siblings. The 649cc parallel twin engine is a treat and produces 47 bhp and 52 Nm of torque. Royal Enfield will most likely tune it differently to the other motorcycles but we don’t expect to see any power bump. Royal Enfield has also given the Bear 650 a 2 to 1 exhaust which is quite reminiscent of other Scramblers for sale in the market as well.
The bike will be debuted at EICMA 2024, and will launch soon after. We expect it to be the most expensive motorcycle that Royal Enfield sells once its launched. We can also expect Royal Enfield to launch a fully fledged adventure tourer on the same platform which will feature a larger 21-inch wheel.
