New Delhi: Rishabh Pant shattered MS Dhoni’s record to become the fastest Indian wicket-keeper to complete 2500 runs in Test cricket. Pant achieved the massive feat during India’s second innings on Day 4 of the ongoing 1st Test against New Zealand in Bengaluru. Pant slammed a brisk unbeaten half-century for the hosts before rain played spoilsport once again on Saturday.
Pant completed 2500 runs in just 62 innings to go past Dhoni and become the fastest Indian wicket-keeper to achieve the feat in Tests. Dhoni had reached 2500 runs in 69 innings. Former India wicket-keeper Farokh Engineer is third on the elite list having amassed 2500 Test runs in 82 innings.
