Union Minister and BJP’s state unit President Sukanta Majumdar met victim’s parents on Thursday and assured them of sharing their grievances to “appropriate authorities”. He met the parents at their residence in the Sodepur area of Kolkata.
It may be noted that the resident doctor’s body was found at the RG Kar Hospital in Kolkata in August last year. While civil rights activists took out processions seeking justice for the victim, resident doctors too sat on protests across the country.
