Mumbai: With the Mahayuti Government back in power after the massive win in Maharashtra Assembly Elections, Home Minister and senior BJP leader Amit Shah thanked the people of the state for the splendid win of the alliance.
He also took a dig at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi saying that the results closed the “shops of those who pretend to be the fake well-wishers of the Constitution.” Notably, while the Mahayuti has so far won 230 seats, MVA has won 47 Assembly seats in the state.
Amit Shah thanks people of Maharashtra
Taking to X, on Saturday, he wrote, “Jai Maharashtra. I bow down to the people of Maharashtra for this historic mandate. The holy land of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Babasaheb Ambedkar, Jyotiba Phule and Veer Savarkar, Maharashtra, by giving such a massive mandate to the Mahayuti alliance that places culture and nation first along with development, has shut down the shops of those who pretend to be the fake well-wishers of the Constitution with the help of confusion and lies. This victory is the victory of every Maharashtra resident.”
Notably, the poor show at Assembly polls by the MVA might see no Opposition leader in the state Assembly this time. No party has been able to get 29 seats in the Assembly which is mandatory to the post. The election commission announced 220 seats of the 288 till 7 pm.
