Amaravati: In a relief to Tollywood actor Allu Arjun, Andhra Pradesh High Court granted a stay on all proceedings till November 8 in election violations case, tv9 telugu reported. The next hearing will occur on November 8.
Earlier this week, the actor approached the AP High Court to quash the criminal case registered against him in Nandyal during the 2024 Assembly election.
The case was filed after the actor made a surprise appearance at an election rally to support YSRCP candidate and ex-MLA Shilpa Ravichandra in Nandyal, which reportedly violated election rules.
In addition to the quash petition, they filed an Interlocutory Application (IA) asking the court to grant a stay on all further proceedings, including arrests, in connection to the FIR filed on May 11, 2024.

The FIR filed under IPC section 188, accuses the actor and the politician of violating Section 144 of the election code and section 31 of Police Act by assembling a crowd at the rally without proper permissions while the election code was in effect.
The actor made a surprise appearance at Ravichandra’s residence in Nandyal for the rally, attracting a huge crowd, with fans chanting.
Allu Arjun’s next film Pushpa 2: The Rule, a sequel to Pushpa: The Rise, will release on December 5, the producers of the film announced.
