Ayodhya: The construction of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya has slowed down and now won’t be completed by June 2025, as scheduled earlier. The work of the temple has been slowed down due to the shortage of workers and will now be completed in September next year. The decision was taken at the meeting of the Ram Mandir Construction Committee.
Ram Mandir Trust’s General Secretary Champat Rai, Trustee Dr. Anil Mishra, Construction Incharge Gopal Rao, Architect Ashish Sompura, and engineers of the implementing agency were present at the meeting. Nripendra Mishra, the chairman of the Ram Mandir Construction Committee, said construction work was affected due to less number of workers.
Several workers in Ram Temple construction have gone home
“There are 200 workers less. The target of complete all the work by June 2025, However, it does not seem achievable now, It will take three more months for the completion of the temple The work is going on in the second floor and roof of the temple, apart from other parts of the premises. Also, the workers who had gone for Diwali and Chhathh Puja have not yet returned resulting in delay.”
A new building to keep shoes: Nripendra Mishra
“A place has been selected in the premises to keep shoes and slippers for the devotees. Construction of a building regarding this will start this week. The idol of Ram Darbar will be ready by December. Along with the idol of Ram Darbar, seven idols of Sapt Mandapam and six idols of ‘Parakota’ are being made in Jaipur. The sculptor has assured that all the idols will be made and reach Ayodhya by December. Soon after this, the trust will take the decision date for the installation of the idols. As per him, 1-kilometre long path will also be constructed in the ramparts of the temple where devotees can also do their ‘parikrama’.
