Ayodhya: With just a year since its consecration, the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya has surpassed the revered Vaishno Devi and Shirdi Sai Baba shrines with a whopping Rs 750 crore in offerings, becoming the third wealthiest temple in India.
A year after Ram Lalla’s Prantishtha on January 22, the Ram Temple continues to witness record-breaking numbers of devotees and significant financial contributions, surpassing revered shrines such as the Vaishno Devi in Jammu’s Katra and the Shirdi Sai Baba Temple in Maharashtra in offerings.
Surge in devotees and donations
Every day, millions of devotees visit the temple for the darshan of Ram Lalla. Since the Pran Pratishtha, more than 1.30 crore people have visited Ayodhya. The Ram Temple has now secured third place, receiving Rs 700 crore in donations within just a year.

Ayodhya boosts Uttar Pradesh’s Economy
Ayodhya is significantly contributing to Uttar Pradesh’s economic growth and, in turn, strengthening the national economy. Employment opportunities have surged, and businesses, particularly hotels and homestays, are thriving. Over 1,100 registered homestays in Ayodhya are reporting earnings of up to Rs 2 lakh per month.
Improved connectivity developing tourism
The rise in tourism is also attributed to Ayodhya’s improved connectivity. Vande Bharat and other trains now operate in the temple town, while better road networks have enhanced accessibility. Additionally, the launch of Ayodhya International Airport has made travel more convenient, reducing transit times significantly.
With Ayodhya emerging as a major religious and economic hub, its transformation is set to continue in the coming years, further cementing its significance on the national and global stage.
