Dehradun: The statue of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya has been adorned with a dress made of mulberry silk and embellished with Uttarakhand’s traditional Aipan art.
Uttarakhand chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami calls it ‘blessed’ moment for the state and he himself had visited Ayodhya to deliver the ‘shubh vastram’ to the temple authorities.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami described it as a “blessed moment” for the people of Uttarakhand. The divine idol of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya was adorned with a ‘shubhvastram’ featuring Uttarakhand’s famous Aipan art, symbolizing the deep faith of the people in Lord Ram. This special garment was crafted by skilled artisans from Uttarakhand. Dhami, who personally delivered the ‘shubhvastram’ to the temple authorities, expressed his pride in a post on X, highlighting how this event marks a significant moment for the state’s cultural heritage.
