New Delhi: One of the prestigious exams, the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC-NET), is conducted by the National Test Agency (NTA) to consider the eligibility for the post of assistant professor and junior research fellowship programs in 83 subjects across India. The exam is mainly conducted primarily for individuals aspiring to pursue careers in academia and research. Candidates holding a master’s degree with 55 per cent (50 per cent for the reserved category) marks are eligible for the exam.
