New Delhi: A businessman in Punjab has presented a Rs 1 crore Rolex watch to his contractor as a token of appreciation for his outstanding work on an expansive 9-acre estate. Gurdip Dev Bath, who oversaw the project near Zirakpur, praised contractor Rajinder Singh Roopra for his unwavering dedication to quality, immediate project delivery and careful attention to detail, which inspired Bath’s generous gift.
The Rolex Oyster Perpetual Sky-Dweller, made from 18-carat yellow gold, features a distinctive Oyster bracelet crafted from durable gold links and boasts a stunning champagne-coloured dial.
The estate, resembling a modern fortress, was completed over two years with Roopra managing a daily workforce of more than 200 labourers, which ensures the project stayed on schedule. Bath described the property as “not just a house; it’s a statement of grandeur,” highlighting its design and construction reflect timeless elegance.
Bath praises Roopra for exceptional commitment
Bath expressed his gratitude, saying, “His commitment to timelines, coupled with a remarkable eye for detail, provided more than I could have asked for.” He said that Roopra not only met but “exceeded” the family’s expectations throughout the project’s duration.
The architectural design, crafted by Ranjodh Singh, includes a sweeping boundary wall that encloses the estate, giving it the appearance of a private fortress. The property features expansive halls, beautifully landscaped gardens and unique architectural elements that merge style with practicality.
Roopra highlights teamwork
Roopra said that managing such a large-scale, refined project was both challenging and rewarding, attributing the successful realisation of the vision to the cohesive efforts of the entire workforce. He said that creating a property of this caliber, especially one that embodies the essence of Rajasthani forts, was no small feat.
