Manchester City led the first half of the game, and Erling Haaland finally scored in the Premier League after three games when he found the back of the net in the fifth minute. However, after the first goal, the game became drab. Though City was in control of the game, they were unable to double their lead as Southampton’s defence was too brilliant, with Taylor Harwood-Bellis denying Haaland from scoring a brace.
Aaron Ramsdale later ensured that the Southampton striker wasn’t able to secure the equalizer at Etihad Stadium. Besides their defence, Southampton tried to break forward during the counter, with Adam Armstrong being denied in the second half. The win means that City are now at the top of the table. Meanwhile, Southampton are 19th on the table, without a win yet, and will face Everton next in the Premier League, while City’s fixture will see them face Bournemouth.

The first half began slower with both teams playing with caution. Ipswich Town broke the deadlock when Sammie Szmodics found the back of the net at the 28th minute. George Hirst doubled the lead in just three minutes and it looked like Ipswich had found themselves in a better position. However, Brentford’s Yoane Wissa and Harry Clarke scored within minutes to take the home side into the break on level.
The second half saw Bryan Mbeumo put Brentford ahead with a penalty six minutes into the restart when Keane Lewis Potter was brought down inside the box. Until the 86th minute, the score remained at 3-2, with both sides trying to find their next goal. Leif Davis made a brilliant cross with Memphis Delap, ensuring that they had their third goal for the evening. However, Mbeumo’s cross goal in the 96th minute bypassed the defenders and the goalkeeper to the left corner to ensure his side won 4-3.

Brighton and Hove Albion were dominating the game from the start, giving Wolverhampton Wanderers little space to dominate. Danny Welbeck has been playing well for the Seagulls this season and, right before the break, put his side ahead with an amazing assist from Georginio Rutter.
The second half saw Jorgen Strand Larsen charge a Wolves counter-attack and looked most lethal from the restart. Evan Ferguson’s 85th-minute goal almost washed away hopes of the Wolves taking home any points from the game. However, Rayan Ait Nouri scored in the 88th minute, and Matheus Cunha scored the equalizer five minutes later to ensure the game ended in a stalemate.

The first of this game saw great defence with the two goalkeepers making some great saves, with VAR ruling out a potential deadlock break from Aston Villa when John McGinn found the back of the goal at the 30th minute. For Bournem0uth it was the seventh of nine occasions when they had failed to score a goal in the opening half of the game.
Ross Barkley scored the first goal of the game to put the Villans ahead in the 76th minute. However, Bournemouth made a narrow escape when Evanilson scored the equalizer in stoppage time to deny the home side the three points. Villa were cruising to their sixth win of the season but lost the game just moments away from the final whistle after having better ball possession for most of the game.
