Porsche has completed 10 years in Korea and to celebrate this milestone they have launched a special edition of the Taycan Turbo which is called the K-Edition. It will be limited to just 40 units and gets some exclusive touches to the exterior and the interior. All the work has been carried out by Porsche’s Exclusive Manufaktur who are responsible for all the custom Porsche builds.
The K-Edition will be based on the Taycan Turbo which recently had gotten a facelift. The K-Edition can be had in five colours which include, Ruby Red Metallic, Oak Green Metallic, Ipanema Blue Metallic, Macadamia Metallic and Alex Grey, all of which are from the Paint To Sample Plus shades.
Porsche has also given it a unique graphic on the rear wing which showcases the skyline of Korea and has a custom logo which is similar to the royal Korean stamp and has the “Taycan” name in Korean characters. The logo has been placed on the charging port cover and is hand painted.
On the inside, there are two options for the colour. Ruby Red Metallic, Ipanema Blue Metallic and Alex Grey cars will get a primarily Basalt black interior while the other two colours, Macadamia Metallic and Oak Green Metallic will get a truffle brown interior option. The seats have different coloured center blocks and the seatbelts have been finished in Atacama Beige. It also gets the logo on the outside embossed on the headrest as well. It also gets sill plates which say “K-Edition”, contrast stitching on the doors, centre console and instrument panel.
Just 40 examples of this special edition will be made and they will be limited to the Korean market. This is not the first time Porsche has brought special editions to celebrate major milestones but we would have liked Porsche to roll out a special edition on a car which was more apt to their heritage.
