New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday assured Andhra Pradesh and Telangana chief ministers of all possible help from the Centre as both the states are grappling with severe crisis after intense rainfall over the weekend.
PM Modi spoke to the two chief ministers, N Chandrababu Naidu of Andhra Pradesh and A Revanth Reddy of Telangana, over phone.

According to reports, PM assured all possible assistance from the Centre to overcome the crisis.
Nine people have perished in the rain-related incidents in Telangana as heavy downpour continued to lash many parts of the state, including the capital Hyderabad.
Reddy held an emergency review in view of the incessant rains in the state and asked officials to provide all relief measures to affected people.
More rain in the offing
Nine people have also lost their lives in Andhra Pradesh. Over 17,000 rain-affected people were evacuated from across the state. “Until now nine people died due to the heavy rains. Police, NDRF and SDRF teams rescued 600 people from the marooned places. As many as 17 NDRF and SDRF teams undertook rescue operations at 22 submerged places in seven districts,” said state home minister Vangalapudi Anitha.
Meanwhile, IMD has predicted more downpour in both the states, with orange alert in place for both the states. Parts of Srikakulam, Vijayanagaram, Parvatipuram Manyam, Alluri Sitarama Raju, Kakinada and Nandyala districts are likely to receive heavy rainfall, said the weather department.
