Dehradun: Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the scenic Harshil and Mukhba villages in Uttarkashi district on Thursday to promote winter tourism in Uttarakhand. His visit brought excitement and warmth to the snow-covered area, as locals returned from lower valleys to welcome him.
PM Modi began his day by arriving at Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun at 8:30 am, where he was welcomed by Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and Assembly Speaker Ritu Khanduri. He then traveled to Mukhba, reaching around 10:00 am.

In Mukhba, the Prime Minister performed the Ganga Aarti at the winter seat of Maa Ganga and visited the beautifully decorated Mukhba temple. He wore the traditional Chapkan, made from sheep’s wool by local villagers.
