New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday interacted with global and Indian leaders at the WAVES Summit Advisory Board Meet. The PM had a virtual virtual interaction with top professionals and industry leaders from India and across the globe, who are part of the Advisory Board of the WAVES Summit.
A number of dignitaries from various fields including business tycoons, film industry icons and tech giants including Satya Nadella, Sundar Pichai, Mukesh Ambani, Anand Mahindra, Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, Chiranjeevi, Mohanlal, Rajnikanth, Aamir Khan, AR Rahman, Akshay Kumar, Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone, were among those who participated among others.
Fostering global leadership
The discussion centred around innovation, global leadership and India’s growing influence in both culture and technology. It also explored strategies to strengthen India’s role on the global stage. The WAVES Summit, renowned for gathering thought leaders across diverse fields, seeks to promote cross-industry collaborations and propel India’s development in the digital and creative economy.
WAVES 2025
WAVES 2025 has been organised by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. It aims to celebrate and enhance India’s creative and media economy. As part of the event, taking place from February 5 to 9, 2025, the ministry is launching the Create in India Challenge, Season 1, which will feature a series of challenges designed to promote innovation and creativity. The Summit has gathered industry leaders, stakeholders, and innovators. Originally, the event was scheduled to coincide with the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa in November.
