From the newly consecrated Ram Temple in Ayodhya to the ancient Kamakhya Temple in Assam, shrines overflowed with pilgrims seeking divine blessings for the year ahead. The first day of 2025 witnessed an unprecedented surge in temple attendance, transforming sacred spaces into vibrant hubs of prayer and celebration.

Ayodhya experienced a massive influx of devotees eager to visit the Ram Temple. Thousands converged on the city on the first day of the 2025. In Delhi, Birla Mandir was equally popular, with devotees attending morning aarti and filling the temple complex with chants and prayers. The scene was echoed across the country, with families and friends gathering to celebrate the New Year and seek blessings together.

In Assam, the Kamakhya Temple attracted a large congregation of devotees. Long queues snaked through the temple grounds as people patiently awaited their turn to pay their respects and receive the specially prepared laddoos distributed in celebration of the New Year.

The fervour extended to other parts of the country. In Haryana, the Mansa Devi Temple in Panchkula saw an overwhelming number of visitors, with joyous sounds of clanging puja bells filling the air. Mysore also saw a significant increase in temple visitors, with long queues forming early in the morning at prominent locations such as Sri Chamundeshwari Temple atop Chamundi hills, Sri Yoganarasimhaswamy Temple in Vijayanagar, and Sri Lakshmi Venkataramaswamy Temple in Vontikoppal.
