New Delhi: With just a few days left for the Assembly Elections in Delhi, the politics have heated up in the national capital. Hours after The Election Commission gave a clean chit to BJP leader Pravesh Verma over allegations of misconduct over model code of conduct, Former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal of distribution freebies to get votes.
Addressing the press conference, Kejriwal accused the BJP of distributing blankets, shoes, and other items to voters in one locality, but not distributing in the other area. He urged the people of Delhi to know the importance of their votes and not vote the corrupt people.

“While BJP has distributed quilts in one part of the city, they have not done so in the other part. Same is the case with shoes and other items. We have heard that the BJP is also distributing gold chains to the people in some areas. The people of Delhi were very upset. BJP is also distributing these items to those, going to BJP offices with allegations of favoritism” Kejriwal said.
He added, “BJP leaders are openly saying that they can buy voters of Delhi. However, each vote is important. Voters of Delhi must realise this and not vote for those who encourage corruption.
If any candidate is found involved in corruption or breaking the Model Code of Conduct, don’t vote for him too. People of Delhi must show that they cannot be bought.”
Sanjay Singh too slams the BJP for giving a chit to Pravesh Verma
His part leader Sanjay Singh too slammed the EC for finding Pravesh Verma innocent saying, “In movies, during the good old days, we used to watch mafia killing people openly. He also used to extort money from the people. But when the police came, the entire village used to become peaceful due to fear. I feel that the election commission, Delhi police, DM, SHO are scared because of the BJP. In tweets, Pravesh Verma can also be seen distributing aspects, But still DMs, and SHOs are stating they do not have any proof. The EC must probe it independently.
