New Delhi: Renowned Bhojpuri actress Akshara Singh, the most popular and one of the highest paid actress of Bhojpuri, has received extortion call of Rs 50 lakh. Shockingly, she has also been threatened with death if she does not pay the money. According to the information, the caller has warned that if this amount is not paid within two days, she will have to face consequences and would be killed.
Akshara Singh lodged a complaint
Actress Akshara Singh has filed a complaint regarding the matter at Danapur police station of Bihar. She has given a written complaint against unknown people in the police station. Akshara also lives in Danapur. Following her complaint, the police swung into action and the matter is being probed. It is believed that the caller not only demanded extortion money and threatened Akshara but also abused her.
Police said that Akshara received two calls from different numbers on her mobile phone on Monday late night. She was asked to pay Rs 50 lakh within two days and threatened her to face death consequences, if she failed to pay the money, police said.
“Written complaint from Akshara has been received at Danapur police station and case is being investigated,” Police said. The cops are trying to track down the callers. Phone numbers of threat callers have not been released due to security reasons.
