Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan launched the free gas cylinder scheme in Gopalapuram constituency of Eluru district on Friday.
The deputy cm prayed and performed pujas at the Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple. He announced the creation of a Special force ‘Narasimha Varahi Ganam’ (NVG) to protect Sanatana Dharma while upholding secularism and constitutional values.
Speaking at the event, he said that a special law for digital privacy will be enacted to protect women and children from physical, verbal abuse and attacks. He stated that stringent action would be taken against those who harass, abuse, insult women at public places, social media and other platforms.
He also stated that action would be taken against those people who are trying to create rifts between people in the name of caste and religion. “I swear upon Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy, we won’t let them get away with a word. Speak freely, but if you cross us, we’ll take drastic action – we’ll shut you up. Our government is firm, not feeble.”
He also promised security to AP Congress leader YS Sharmila after the dispute between her and her brother, ex-cm YS Jagan Reddy became public. “Sharmila has expressed certain apprehensions about her safety and security in view of this property dispute with her brother. Our government is committed to providing security for women,” he said.
