New Delhi: With an eye on Bihar and Punjab, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has accommodated MLAs like Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Ashish Sood and Pankaj Singh in the Delhi Cabinet. All these ministers will take oath today along with Rekha Gupta as new Chief Minister of Delhi.
A Union Home Ministry notification stated that the president, on the advice of Chief Minister designate Rekha Gupta, appointed BJP MLAs Parvesh Sahib Singh Verma, Ashish Sood, Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Ravinder Indraj, Kapil Mishra and Pankaj Kumar Singh as ministers of the Delhi government.

Rekha Gupta, along with her ministers- Parvesh Verma, Kapil Mishra, Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Ravindra Raj, Ashish Sood, Pankaj Singh- will take oath as Delhi Chief Minister today at Ramlila Maidan in the Central Delhi.
On Wednesday night, BJP top brass announced Gupta as next Delhi CM. Senior party leader Vijender Gupta was announced as party’s choice for the Speaker post. Earlier, leaders like Parvesh Verma and Ashish Sood were also in the list of probables for the CM post.

With the induction of these MLAs in the Cabinet, BJP has tried to strike a social balance with an eye on assembly elections in Bihar and Punjab.
Grand swearing-in of Rekha Gupta as Delhi CM at Ramlila Maidan
Three big stages have been set up at Central Delhi’s iconic Ramlila Maidan for the grand swearing-in ceremony of Rekha Gupta as new Chief Minister of the national capital today.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with chief minister of several NDA ruled state and UTs will be present at the event. While PM Modi, Delhi LG VK Saxena and Rekha Gupta are set to occupy the main stage, all the newly-elected MLAs will be present on the second stage. The third stage is said to be reserved to prominent religious leaders and seers who will be attending the ceremony.
UP CM Yogi Adityanath and Bihar CM Nitish Kumar are unlikely to attend the swearing-in ceremony due to their unavoidable engagements in their respective states.
