New Delhi: After the deadly terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir that killed 26 people, India took strong action against terrorism. The Indian Army started demolishing the houses of terrorists and those supporting them.
In the recent action, the house of Farooq Ahmed Tidwa, a member of the Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist organization, was blown up. The demolition took place in Narikut Kalaros, Kupwara, North Kashmir. Farooq Ahmed is currently in Pakistan and is believed to be working with the Pakistan Army to target innocent people in Kashmir.
Pahalgam attack mastermind’s house demolished
Earlier, the house of Asif Sheikh, one of the main terrorists involved in the Pahalgam attack, was also demolished. The security forces carried out the operation on April 24, 2025, under heavy security arrangements. Officials have warned that anyone found helping terrorists will face strict action.
Donald Trump reacts to Pahalgam attack
Former US President Donald Trump also reacted to the Pahalgam terror attack. Expressing his sadness, Trump said, “The terrorist attack was very bad. I am very close to India and also very close to Pakistan.”
Speaking about the situation in Kashmir, Trump said that the conflict in Kashmir has been going on for over a thousand years, maybe even 1,500 years. He added that there is tension between India and Pakistan but he hopes it will be resolved. “There is always tension at the border between India and Pakistan, but I believe they will find a way,” Trump said.
United Nations condemns attack
The United Nations Security Council (UNSC) has also strongly condemned the terrorist attack. In a press statement, the 15-nation Council expressed deep sorrow over the loss of life and injuries caused by the attack in Jammu and Kashmir.
The UNSC members emphasized that terrorism in all forms is one of the most serious threats to peace and security. They offered condolences to the families of the victims and to the government of India.
