Gandhinagar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi accused the Opposition parties of insulting him and making fun during the first 100 days of his ongoing third term in office. The PM said that instead of responding to them, he decided to focus on completing developmental projects.
Addressing an event in Gujarat’s Ahmedabad on Monday, the prime minister said that his government commenced projects worth Rs 15 lakh crore since assuming office. “In the first 100 days of my third term as PM, the Opposition made fun of me. They also insulted me. But I decided not to respond to them but to make sure of completing the government’s agenda,” he told the gathering.
Some people are filled with negativity: PM Modi
Taking a dig at the Opposition, PM Modi further said that some people are filled with negativity and target unity the unity of the country. Accusing them of trying to divide the country, the PM further added that his government was focused on improving the lives of the people.
“ During the Lok Sabha polls, I had said that there would be unprecedented decisions in the first 100 days of my third term. Since coming back to the office, I worked hard to fulfill the agenda of 100 days. I did not leave any stone unturned in India and abroad. [people of this country have sent me to Delhi by making me take a pledge to put the country first,” the PM said further.
‘Works of projects worth Rs 15 lakh crore started in first 100 days’
He added, “Several works have started on projects worth Rs 15 lakh crore. During the Lok Sabha elections, I had promised to construct 3 crore new houses. The government is working rapidly on it. Whether it’s in villages or cities, we are focused on improving people’s lives.”
