On camera: Congress leader suffers heart attack during press conference in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: A Congress leader collapsed and died after suffering a heart attack during a media interaction. The incident took place on Monday when CK Ravichandran, a local Congress leader from Karnataka and president of the Kuruba Sangha from Kolar district, was addressing the media at the Press Club of Bangalore. The incident was caught on camera.

Ravichandran, 63, and other Congress leaders were holding the press conference on the controversy over a recent prosecution notice issued by Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in the alleged Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) land scam.

While speaking to the media, Chandran suddenly felt uneasy and collapsed from his chair. He was immediately taken to a private hospital where doctors declared him dead on arrival. Doctors confirmed he suffered a cardiac arrest.

A video of the shocking incident has been doing the rounds on social media. In the clip, the Congress leader can be seen speaking to media while holding a mic and a paper and then suddenly falling from his chair and collapsing.
