New Delhi: The State Selection Board (SSB), Odisha will close the Police Constable recruitment 2024 application process tomorrow, October 30. Those who have not applied till now can fill out the Odisha Police Constable recruitment 2024 application form through the official website, odishapolice.gov.in. Earlier, the last date to complete the application process was set for October 13, however, the board extended the date due to Puja vacations.
The number of vacancies to be filled in the post of Constable in various battalions in Odisha Police is also increased by the board with the addition of 720 more. The recruitment process is now being held for a total of 2,030 vacancies, earlier of which was 1,360.
Odisha Police Constable recruitment 2024 eligibility requirements
- Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) category candidates, women and transgender and are not eligible
- The age of the candidates needs to be between 18 to 23 years as of January 1, 2024.
- There is upper-age relaxation for the reserved category candidates.
- Candidates must have passed Class 10 with Odia as one of the subjects.
- Candidates must be able to speak, write and read in Odia.
- Candidates should be Indian citizens.
- It is necessary to have good character and sound health, free from organic defects and physical deformities.
- Candidates should have one living spouse, however, it is exempted under personal law or other grounds.
The Odisha Police Constable recruitment selection process includes a Computer–Based Recruitment Examination (CBRE), a Physical Standard Test (PST), a Physical Efficiency Test (PST), a driving test, and a medical exam.
In the recruitment exam, there will be a total of 100 objective-type multiple-choice questions. The paper will be held for a total of 100 marks for a duration of two hours. As per the marking scheme, for every wrong answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted.
