Noida: In a shocking incident, a married woman ran away with her lover few days ago and was later found in Bengaluru. During investigation, the woman, a mother of two, said that she was unhappy with her husband and hence left his rented accommodation in Bishanpura Village in Sector 58, Noida. She also took her children, and the jewellery and cash kept in the house.
Last week, the woman’s husband lodged a police complaint after she suddenly went missing from the house. The police lodged a missing person’s report and launched a search operation. During investigation, woman’s mobile location was tracked in Bengaluru. When police reached out to the woman in the IT city, she accused her husband of harassing her and refused to return to Noida with him.
Woman handed over to her parents
At present, the woman is living with her parents. The husband of the woman is a resident of Darbhanga district of Bihar. He lives in a rented accommodation in Noida. During police interrogation, the woman said that she was not happy in her marriage and said that her husband repeatedly threatened to leave her at his home in Darbhanga. She said that she did not want to leave the city and live in a village.
Relation with paramour
During police interrogation, the woman also disclosed that she met her paramour in Noida and was drawn towards him as he gave her emotional support. Police counselled the woman and her husband to settle the dispute with mutual consent.
11 women run away with lovers after receiving PMAY money
As per a police report released a couple of months ago, around 11 married women from Uttar Pradesh, ran away with their lovers after receiving the first installment of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) money. The PMAY scheme is aimed at helping the lower income groups build permanent houses. As per the report, all these women hail from UP’s Maharajganj district. They allegedly took the first installment of Rs 40,000 under the PMAY scheme and ran away with their lover leaving their husbands. The husbands of the women lodged an FIR in the matter.
