Noida: In view of Chhath Puja celebrations on November 7 and 8, Noida Traffic Police has announced temporary traffic diversions starting November 6 till November 8. Traffic diversions and restrictions have been announced to ensure smooth flow of traffic and avoid a festive rush. The diversions are mostly in place near the key gathering spots for Chhath Puja festivities.
Local authorities have advised city residents to check the detailed traffic advisory and cooperate with the traffic police to ensure easy traffic flow. Chhath Puja is celebrated with much zeal and fervour in Noida and other NCR cities and attracts a huge number of devotees to the ghats for prayers.
Chhath Puja in Noida: Security upped
The city police and additional security personnel have been deployed in the city to ensure safety and order. In addition to this, the local authorities are also building artificial ghats and decorating all the ghats in the city. Yamuna Prasad, Deputy Commissioner of Police for Traffic, Gautam Buddha Nagar, announced the traffic diversions and restrictions and emphasized that anyone found flouting the traffic rules will face harsh penalties.
Noida: Chhath Puja traffic advisory
The Noida Traffic Police announced that traffic movement on many important routes will be effected due to the restrictions on medium and heavy goods vehicles. The routes are:
- Kalindi Kunj Road: Commuters heading towards Delhi via Sarita Vihar are likely to encounter diversions.
- Noida Stadium in Sector 21A, Bahlolpur, and Chotpur: Traffic will be diverted around Sector 63 and Hindon Bridge in Kuleshra.
The traffic police added that with an aim to minimise jams, heavy vehicles coming from Greater Noida will be directed from Charkha Roundabout towards Delhi via DND Flyway and Chilla. In addition to this, goods vehicles taking the road from Sector 37 over Mahamaya Flyover will be diverted from Gaushala Roundabout towards Charkha Roundabout, if required.
