New Delhi: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has announced Rs 10 lakh bounty on gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s brother Anmol Bishnoi. Anmol, who is wanted in several cases, has been chargesheeted in two NIA cases registered in 2022.
Anmol Bishnoi is reportedly operating the Lawrence Bishnoi gang from abroad, with alleged links in both Canada and the United States. His name has recently surfaced in connection with the high-profile murder case of Mumbai politician Baba Siddique, a close associate of actor Salman Khan. Anmol is said to have been in constant contact with the shooters involved in the plot. Mumbai Police have already issued a Look Out Circular (LOC) against him.
Accused in Sidhu Moosewala murder
Also known as Bhanu Bishnoi, Anmol has been implicated in the murder of Punjabi singer-turned-politician Sidhu Moosewala. Last year, the NIA filed charges against him in this case.
Anmol Bishnoi is known for his elusive nature, frequently changing his location to evade capture. He has around 18 cases registered against him and was previously detained in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. He was released on bail on October 7, 2021, just under three years ago.
Anmol managed to flee India using fake passport
Following Sidhu Moosewala’s murder, Anmol’s name also emerged in the April 14 firing incident outside Salman Khan’s residence, Galaxy Apartments, in Mumbai. Anmol later took responsibility for the shooting via social media, where he also issued a direct warning to the Bollywood star.
Despite multiple charges against him, including involvement in the Moosewala murder, Anmol managed to flee the country using a fake passport. Although last year he was reportedly spotted in Kenya, his current whereabouts remain unknown.
