New Delhi: A Day after Manipur’s BJP MP Phangnon Konyak accused Rahul Gandhi of misconduct during the ruling party’s protest at the Parliament, the National Commission for Women (NCW) sought against the Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha on Friday. The incident reportedly took place during the scuffle.
The panel has urged Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar to act against the Congress leader over the BJP MP’s claim. It also expressed grave concern over the matter and described the incident as a “direct affront” to the dignity of women parliamentarians.
