Dehradun: The Uttarakhand government will invite chief ministers, sports ministers, and sports secretaries of all states to participate in the opening ceremony of the National Games 2025. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the National Games 2025 at a function at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Dehradun on January 28. Uttarakhand is hosting the 38th edition of the National Games this year.
The invitation letters, which are written in the name of chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, are being sent to all states. The National Games 2025, beginning from January 28, will conclude on February 14. The state government is busy in giving final touch to the preparations for the National Games 2025.
Grand Pandals at the venue of opening ceremony
Grand Pandals are being installed at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium to accommodate all the guests. The organizers are giving special focus to make the stage as per the requirement of safety standards. Besides, efforts are being made to ensure that all arrangements near the venue of the opening ceremony are in accordance with the international standard.
CM Dhami personally monitors preparation of the National Games
Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami is personally monitoring the ongoing preparations for the National Games. R K Sudhanshu, Principal Secretary to the CM, has directed all the district magistrates concerned, related to the venues of sports events, to complete all the preparations in the stadiums within stipulated time. He also underlined the need for giving special focus on organizing essay and quiz competitions among children to ensure proper publicity of the National Games 2025. He also asked the officials concerned to pay attention to the beautification as well as cleanliness of the main roads.
A team tours various districts to inspect sports ground
A team of Games Technical Conduct Committee and Uttarakhand Olympic Association has been touring different districts to review the preparations of the National Games. Various sports events are held in different districts of the state. The team will visit all the venues of sports events and inspect the sports grounds. The team will be back to Dehradun on January 24.
