Dehradun: With the end of the 3-day tour of the Games Technical Conduct Committee (GTCC), all eyes are now on the Indian Olympic Association’s (IOA) final approval to the dates and venues of the different sports. The GTCC, which inspected the venues of different sports competitions in the state’s various cities during its tour, will soon submit its confidential report to the IOA. Then, the IOA will approve the venues for holding different sports competitions.
Uttarakhand is hosting the national games 2025, beginning from January 28. The sports event will conclude on February 14.
The GTCC expressed happiness with all infrastructures for the sports competitions
The GTCC team, headed by Mrs Sunaina, appeared confident of Uttarakhand’s ability to host the 38th edition of the National games. The team also shared its positive feedback regarding its inspection of the different sports venues. She expressed her happiness with all the infrastructure for the sports competitions. All preparations have been made by the state government for organizing the national games 2025.
The team visited different cities to inspect the venues of the sports competitions
During its three-day stay in the state, the GTCC team visited different cities, including Dehradun, Haldwani, Tehri, Haridwar and Rishikesh to inspect the venues proposed for holding the sports events. The GTCC is tasked to ensure the conduct of the national games 2025.
The team suggested to build lawn tennis court with modern technology
In Dehradun, the GTCC took stock of the lawn tennis court which is being built in the multipurpose hall of the Parade ground. The team asked the officials concerned to complete the works of outdoor tennis court at the earliest possible. The team also suggested that the lawn tennis court should be built with modern technology. In Maharana Pratap Sport College, the team instructed to improve the lighting arrangement in the court prepared for basketball.
World class infrastructure for the national games
Meanwhile, special principal secretary Amit Sinha made a presentation on the state’s preparedness for holding different sports competitions during national games 2025. World class infrastructure has been created for the national games.
