According to sources quoted by Hindustan Times, the couple will tie the knot on December 4. The venue, however, holds a special significance – Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad, which honours the groom’s family legacy.
Earlier, there were speculations about an exotic destination wedding, but Chaitanya and Sobhita reportedly chose to keep it close to their roots, paying homage to his family’s tradition.
Naga Chaitanya-Sobhita Dhulipala’s wedding
Chaitanya and Sobhita’s wedding will be a classic Telugu affair. The ceremony will include rituals such as jeelakarra bellam, a tradition where the couple places cumin-jaggery paste on each other’s heads as a symbolic gesture of their union. The couple recently observed the godhuma raayi pasupu danchadam (crushing turmeric) ceremony in Sobhita’s hometown, Visakhapatnam. With their wedding, they intend to follow suit, making it a deeply rooted cultural experience.

Speaking about the guest list, Chaitanya and Sobhita are keeping it short, inviting only close family and friends. The Akkineni and Daggubati families are, of course, expected to attend, as are Sobhita’s family members. Sources further revealed that the couple is keen on maintaining the same intimate vibe as their engagement.

Chaitanya and Sobhita’s love story began quietly in 2022, with the couple keeping their relationship under wraps until their Instagram debut post-engagement in 2024. Their first public appearance together was at the ANR Awards, where the Ye Maya Chesave actor hinted at his desire for a traditional wedding. “Marriage is about the people who mean a lot to me,” he said at an event in August.
Sobhita echoed this sentiment in a recent interview and said, “I always wanted Telugu-ness to be a part of moments like this.” The Made in Heaven actress shared how her roots and attachment to her parents have shaped her vision for the ceremony.
