Mumbai: In a shocking incident, a woman who was a police officer took her life after facing husband’s unruly behaviour and repeated taunts. The woman was resident of Zenith building in Marathon Nexon Society, where the incident took place.
Sneha Godse, 26-year-old woman police officer in Navi Mumbai Police Force, was married to Akash, aged 28 and lived with him in Marathon society. Akash was an employee in an IT company. As per the report filed by her sister, Sneha came to know about the extra marital affair of his husband with a woman who use to work with her husband in the same company. Sneha asked her husband to stop talking to her. Akash who is said to have been getting irritated by Sneha’s behaviour, started taunting her regularly, reported Mumbai Live.
‘It will be better if you die’
According to her sister, Akash use to taunt her saying, “I will not stop talking to the woman, I don’t want you, if you die, it will be better.” The fight between Sneha and Akash started increasing day by day. He started bothering Sneha by saying that he do not need her because the girl he is seeing is more educated and earning more than her.
These comments caused emotional damage to Sneha. On October 22, Sneha, took the decision of ending her life by hanging herself. The incident took at around 12:30 pm. According to the reports, Sneha use to inform her relatives about the unruly behaviour and illegitimate relation with another woman. She also complained about this to police many times, but that did not change Akash.
After trying all these measures, when Sneha did not notice any change in behaviour of Akash, she took the tragic step. Akash has been booked by the police for inciting her to commit suicide.
