Vidisha: A wedding celebration in Madhya Pradesh’s Vidisha took a tragic turn when a woman collapsed while dancing and never regained consciousness. The incident occurred at Magdham Resort during a wedding ceremony. Parineeta Jain, a resident of Indore, had come to attend her cousin’s wedding. While dancing during the sangeet ceremony, she suddenly collapsed on the stage.
At first, guests assumed she had simply lost balance, but when she remained motionless, she was rushed to the hospital, where doctors declared her dead. Doctors suspect a heart attack as the cause of death. The Ladies Sangeet ceremony began at 9 pm, but tragedy struck around 10 pm. Several doctors, who were relatives of the bride, attempted to perform CPR in an effort to revive her, but she showed no signs of life.
She was quickly taken to a private hospital in Vidisha, where she was declared dead upon arrival. In the wake of her passing, the remaining wedding rituals were carried out in a subdued manner that same night. All scheduled events for Sunday were cancelled and as most of her family members were based in Vidisha, her final rites were conducted there.

This is not the first instance of individuals collapsing and dying while dancing to music in Madhya Pradesh. In October of the last year, a 15-year-old boy passed away from a cardiac arrest while playing cricket in Agar-Malwa district. Similarly, in Indore, a 73-year-old man suffered a heart attack and died instantly while dancing on stage during a yoga event.
