New Delhi: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat, while speaking at a ‘Swayamsevak Samagrahan’ event in Rajasthan, said that India is inherently a Hindu nation and called for the unity of Hindu society. He said that there is a need to overcome internal divisions based on language, caste and region in order to strengthen the country’s security.
According to Bhagwat, Hindus should embrace and accept everyone as part of their own. The event was attended by 3,827 RSS volunteers, including notable figures such as senior officials Ramesh Aggarwal, Jagdish Singh Rana, Ramesh Chand Mehta and Vaidya Radheshyam Garg.
Bhagwat’s vision
In his speech, Bhagwat said that the unity of Hindu community is important for the society’s protection. He highlighted the need to eliminate linguistic, caste-based and regional differences and envisioned a society described by organisation, goodwill and strong faith. He also underscored the significance of discipline and responsibility towards the country, urging people to remain dedicated to collective goals.
Bhagwat further said that a community is more than just individuals and their families; it also involves addressing broader concerns. He described the RSS’s working approach as driven by ideas and encouraged volunteers to stay connected with various communities. Apart from that, he called for efforts to address the weaknesses within society by empowering it.
RSS chief’s vision for a stronger India
He also laid emphasis on key areas such as justice, health, education and self-reliance, advising volunteers to remain active in promoting harmony within families, environmental consciousness, indigenous values and civic responsibility—fundamental elements for a healthy society. Addressing India’s international standing, Bhagwat said that the nation’s global reputation hinges on its strength, and the safety of Indian citizens abroad can only be ensured when India itself is strong.
